Campaign
Discover the World Outside
The N.C. Office of Environmental Education's “Discover the World Outside” education campaign is designed for specific audiences such as parents. This campaign helps people find outdoor events and programs near them and provides information on the benefits of spending time outside. The “Discover the World Outside” Web page links people to great places to learn, recreate and connect with nature. It highlights places where you can take children outdoors and activities you can do at home with your children. It has links to some of the most recent research that shows the benefits of spending time outdoors. The Web site also links to the N.C. Museum of Natural Science’s “Take A Child Outside” program which is part of a national movement to help children discover the natural world.
